This workshop is an introduction to how traditional animation techniques can be interfaced with real world controls using the software PureData. Participants will produce a collection of animated clips to be used in an animation mixer that will be created during the workshop. Subjects covered in the course include: Techniques for traditional animation production, economical animation, shooting and editing your animation, introduction to the Pd programming environment and its video processing abilities. The last day will be a collaborative affair with the Electronics 101 workshop.

This workshop is offered by Rickie Lea Owens. She makes quick and squeaky cartoons that have been screened in Canada, the United States, Macedonia, Poland, Germany and Holland.
