New Media Creation Grant for Young Artist

This grant offered through the financial support of the Caisse populaire Desjardins du Mont-Royal is designed for artists under 35 years of age, living in the Greater Montreal Area, who wish to dedicate themselves to the production of an innovative artwork in the field of media arts and new technology. The grant is worth $4,500 in access to the equipment and resources in OBORO'S New Media Lab. the chosen artist will receive $500 in artist fees and have the opportunity to present his or her completed work to the public during an artist talk

The project can include forays into the fields of video, audio, multimedia or the web. Consult http://www.oboro.net/lab/equipment.html to get a detailed description of available resources and equipment.

Deadline: April 1, 2011

Your proposal must include:
-

a short letter of presentation;
-

a project summary (100 words maximum);
-

a detailed artistic and technological description of the project;

a list of specific technical requirements for the production in OBORO’s New Media Lab;

a production schedule;
-

your CV and, if applicable, the CVs of your main contributors;
- visual or audio support material with a list of contents;
-

a return envelope with sufficient postage if you wish your material to be returned by mail.
