Fabulations hyperboréennes

Screening Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
(Door opens at 6:30 p.m.)

We attempt to experience a poetic and spiritual feeling of life on earth, that is generated by a close relationship with nature, in order to propose an idea, a concept of the world and to elicit through contemporary, artistic mediums, the unity between the human spirit and the universe. With an immersive, videographic approach, we invite the viewer to travel into a landscape universe, fabricated and fabulous, inspired by our first hand experiences with nature and by new images linked to the study of the land and landscape. Our projects establish a link with science as well as art, all to have a deep recalling of an interior and poetic rapport with Nature and the Universe.

PROGRAM

Qu’est-ce que (Lettre du bout du monde)
1998, 5 min., couleur, stéréo
Some objects, a book, some texts that serve as a trampoline to virtual wandering, in quest of little visions of the north-- there, where all mirages are possible.

Trans(e) Bleu
2000, 22 min., couleur, stéréo
The winter polar confinement provokes a landscape trance that permits us to create a cosmic territory, to wander it and to become ourselves, a little shamanistic.

Circumvisions
2004, 30 min., couleur et noir et blanc, stéréo
A circumpolar navigation between reality and illusion, the lived and the imaginary, becomes a strange odyssey in the wonderful world of mirages, in search of something beyond boundaries.
