Marc Mercier Planetopolis
Espace Vidéographe launches its homage to Gianni Toti series with a screening of Planetopolis, introduced by curator Marc Mercier.
Marc Mercier is a poet, film director and actor who sows and tracks down poelitic gems in troubled waters. He cofounded the Festival d’art vidéo de Casablanca, and VidéoAsis in the Figuig desert in Morroco, and he is the artistic director of Instants Vidéo in Marseille since the inception of the organisation in 1988.
Planetopolis
Aux larmes citoyens ! Planètoyens ! Cosmostoyens ! La planète est malade. Faut ausculter son corps. Stétoscoper sa croûte. Endoscoper ses entrailles en fusion. Le diagnostic est sans appel. Le grand marché planétaire est ouvert à la concurrence sans merci. Les planetoyens consomment le dégoût de vivre dans un monde dé-futurisé.
