Located in Vancouver, the Western Front was one of the first Canadian artist-run centres to invite artists from all over the world as part of its “artist in residence” program. To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, the Western Front has published a book entitled Whispered Art History which includes six critical essays as well as a chronology of the centre’s history since 1973. Hank Bull, one of the Western Front’s most active members, will be present at the launching.
