Dennis Day was born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, in 1960. He studied classical music and psychology before graduating in media-based art from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in 1984. Dennis Day has been producing video works since 1984 and has been significantly involved in Toronto’s video community. His videos have been selected for numerous festival competitions and exhibitions around the world. They are included in a number of important collections worldwide, and have been broadcast on CBC, TV Ontario, PBS (U.S.A.) and NIIK (Japan). Fondness for lobster is an inherent component of Dennis Day’s DNA.
