An-Laurence Higgins

An-Laurence Higgins (An Yuan 安 媛, born in China) is an artist and musician whose practice integrates performance and multimedia. Her most recent project as an independent musician and producer is the feminist concert Émergences (f.pl.) (2019), featuring original multimedia work by emerging composers from Montreal and Toronto. (2019). Mainly interested in the relational aspect of art, masterpieces, artworks, and the creative process, An-Laurence is inspired by subjects such as identity, communication, and living together. She is strongly attracted by to the interactivity between her work and the public, and is currently continuing her research-creation work on identity and adoption in China.
