Art Historian and Museologist, Marianne joined the OBORO artist-run center in April 2020. She previously worked at the Centre d’exposition L’Imagier, in Gatineau, as General Director from 2008 to 2020, where she managed and coordinated the reconstruction of the center, which opened in May 2019. Motivated by the dissemination of current art, she has participated in the presentation of some fifty exhibitions and a hundred music and performing arts shows. In 2012 and 2014-2015, she was in charge of the Permanent Collection and Public Art for the City of Gatineau. Since 2018, she has acted as a regional expert for the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications for the Politique d’intégration des arts à l’architecture. She also offers her services as a professional consultant for the organization of public art competitions and exhibitions.

For the past fifteen years, Aseman Sabet has been active in the visual arts field as a curator, lecturer, writer, and researcher. Holding a MA in Art History, she has collaborated with numerous contemporary art institutions and publications, with a focus on interdisciplinary issues in arts and science. She has also worked for ESPACE magazine as an associate editor and member of its editorial board. Her professional background further includes radio contributions as a visual arts specialist for various cultural programs on ICI Radio-Canada Première. More recently, she held the position of Director of Development at the Société des musées du Québec and managed public art projects for the Service d’intégration des arts à l’architecture at the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.

Audrey Bilodeau Fontaine (she/her) studied visual arts at UQAM and Concordia University in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal. She has worked at various artist-run-centres and pre-COVID, she was enjoying the mountains, occupying the position of Curatorial Research Practicum at the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. She will be a candidate for the Master’s degree in Museology, a joint program between UQÀM and the Université de Montréal in the fall of 2022.

Fili 周 Gibbons (we / you / they) are a musician and sound engineer of mixed Chinese and Canadian ancestry based in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal. Their artistic practice is a synthesis of cello performance, audio creation, embodiment, and traditional memory systems — employing these as potencies for the expression of plural identities, and the transmission of cultural memory. Drawing from many years of practice in cello performance, improvisation and audio production, they frequently collaborate across genres with artists Canada and abroad (Yaya Diallo, Jeremy Dutcher, Rajni Shah). Deepening their connection to sound further through recording studies (M. Mireille N’gouan has a Master in Management Science from the University of Cocody in Abidjan, as well as a certificate in Access to the Accounting Profession from the HEC Montreal. Since 2010, she has been working in the accounting field in non-profit organizations. This is what brought her to create MyConsultants, an enterprise that oversees the accounting in a few non-profit organizations and SEMs.

Agustina Belén Pedrocca is an argentine-canadian artist currently based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). Through their studies in the Visual Arts and Medias baccalaureate at UQAM, he developed a practice focused on a critical analysis through a decolonial lens of current power structures and identities. Through their multidisciplinary work, he develops strategies to deconstruct and rebuild the world around us, allowing us to imagine and create new possible universes.

Milton Riaño is a Colombian new media artist based in Montreal who creates immersive and interactive installations and performances. His practice explores alternative ways of existing in the Anthropocene, emphasizing presence, care, coexistence, and imagination. Rooted in sculpture, his work connects digital, physical, and living materials, transforming digital forms into sensory experiences. Informed by an interdisciplinary background, his approach increasingly incorporates hybrid and living materials. His projects have been presented in Canada and internationally. A key residency at the Redpath Museum oriented his research toward aquatic ecosystems and climate issues, which he continues to explore through ongoing projects supported by the CALQ and the Canada Council for the Arts. https://rianomilton.com/

Speranza Spir is a second generation Greek-Montrealer,  haijin, performer and a somatic educator and maunual practitioner. Her art- works are informed from the intelligent body enhancing cognition and how its relevance informs performance and authenticity, identity and emotional empowerment. Nature and the great outdoors are motivating factors for her explorations and performances. In 2002, she completed studies in Video-production at Concordia University in Montreal, and began integrating videography and photography to document body language as a tool for recording personal movement. Since, she has added to this inventory with frequent trips to Greece exploring cultural duality, existential questions of ancestral memory, knowlegde and ritual, human roots, place, migration, family secrets and belonging, taking forms in storytelling and Butoh dance. Born in Northern Macedonia (ex-Republic of Macedonia, ex-FYROM, ex-Yugoslavia), Sonja Zlatanova graduated from the École nationale supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy. Since 2007, Zlatanova has curated exhibitions for institutional and alternative distribution platforms in Europe and Montreal. She was an active member of the artist center La Centrale from 2014 to 2018 and within which, with the Performance Committee, she initiated and developed a cross-residency with CRVENA, an art and social development organization in Sarajevo. Since 2013, Zlatanova has been involved in the Viva Art Action performance festival and specifically in the development of the Kitchen Residency. In July 2019, she joined the radio show Radio Atelier on CIBL 101.5, for which she hosted and curated the on-air performative creation segment. Zlatanova’s work has been exhibited in Europe, including Lausanne (CH), Paris (FR), Istanbul (TK), Berlin (DE), Sarajevo (BH), Skopje and Bitola (NMK), and Montreal (CA). The influence of migratory movements of individuals on the construction and metamorphosis of cultural identities underlies her various projects. Through edible plants, she addresses the occupation of territory, whether in symbiosis with nature or occupied by force. She also uses language in the form of poetic fragments that she disseminates through her formal and conceptual research.
