Public presentation
Thursday, June 17, 2021, from noon to 7 pm, Friday, June 18, 2021 from noon to 5 pm and Saturday, June 19, 2021, from noon to 5 pm
The series Ancillary Glow proposes a collection of hybrid still lifes: virtual and physical assemblages of abstract forms, technological artifacts and inorganic textures. Through 3D audiovisual miniatures and prints, it explores the concept of "vibrant matter", the affordances of different materials, living and non-living, and their potential for shifting between states of becoming.
In partnership with Caisse Desjardins du Plateau-Mont-Royal, ELEKTRA and the Betty Averbach Foundation
Myriam Bleau, Ancillary Glow, 2021
Myriam Bleau is a composer, digital artist and performer based in Montreal. Her work investigates performance, both as a codified cultural manifestation, and as an embodied (re)enactment of symbolic systems through human and non-human agencies. Using music and sound as a point of departure, she has created gestural electronic music performances, audiovisual interfaces, installations and interactive devices that articulate sound, light, movement and symbols.
