Equipment Access Policy

All of OBORO’s equipment and resources are made available according to the following priorities:

1)	They are first made available to work being done as part of OBORO’s programming: residencies, production and commissioned projects, workshops, exhibitions, screenings, public talks and other events:
2)	They are available to individuals and organisations who have paid their New Media Laboratory members’ dues. The following may become user-members: independent artists or producers, artists’ collectives and non-profit organisations whose mission is artistic enquiry and the creation, production and dissemination of independent media art. To the extent that their projects are non-commercial, these members may rent the New Media Laboratory’s equipment and resources at preferred rates (see the prices listed under member fees). Annual membership dues are as follows: Individuals: $75 Organizations: $150
3)	OBORO also provides access to its equipment and resources, up to three times per year at the same preferred rates, to persons who are members in good standing of another recognised centre which is a member of the Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques or the Alliance des arts médiatiques indépendants.
4)	Only if the equipment is not used for OBORO's programmed activities (see 1) or reserved by members for non commercial creative projects (see 2 and 3), may it be used by members or other individuals and organizations in the community for other purposes at higher rates
