QuickTime VR is an environment for the creation and viewing of virtual panoramic objects and scenes. The user interacts via 360- degree navigation, with the use of computer peripherals (mouse, tablet, track pad). With QTVR authoring software, various 2D sources such as photos and video as well as 3D images are “stitched” together to create VR panoramas and objects.

The workshop includes project planning, work methods, QTVR lexicon, viewing and discussion of QTVR works, introduction to photo and video interfaces, production of VR panoramas, objects and scenes, notions of interactivity and hyperlinks, integration of sound and QT video, compression, project management and presentation of personal projects created during the workshop.
