Equipment Access Policy

All of OBORO’s equipment and resources are made available according to the following priorities:

1) Artists included in OBORO’s programming: Equipment and resources are first made available to work being done as part of OBORO’s programming: residencies, production and commissioned projects, workshops, exhibitions, screenings, public talks and other events.

2) Members (artists and organisations): Equipment and resources are available to individuals and organisations who have paid their annual New Media Laboratory member dues. The following may become members of the New Media Laboratory: independent artists, creators, directors or producers; artists’ collectives and non-profit organisations whose mission is artistic enquiry and the creation, production and dissemination of independent works. To the extent that their projects are non-commercial, these members may rent the New Media Laboratory’s equipment and resources at preferential rates (see the prices listed under member fees). Annual membership dues are as follows:

Individuals: $75
Organisations: $150

3) Rental: If equipment and resources are not required for OBORO's programmed activities or reserved by members for non-commercial creative projects, they may rented for other purposes at the regular rate.
