Art Tour at Pôle 4001 Berri: Behind the Scenes

Six arts organizations at Pôle 4001 Berri are opening their doors to the public! We invite the public to a free immersion into the heart of Montreal’s artistic creation. Studios, labs, and research and production spaces are opening their doors to visitors on a special basis to offer exclusive access to those who imagine, create, and share the art of today.

𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐎
Go behind the scenes of experimental creation in the recording and filming studios at LAB OBORO. At various stations, you’ll have the opportunity to explore works by artists specializing in this field at the LAB and try out audiovisual capture techniques for yourself.

𝐀𝐝𝐚 𝐗
Accompanied by artist Natacha Clitandre, explore a “phantom map” of Montreal in virtual reality. Using the Allo Ada platform, discover former resource extraction sites and take part in an immersive digital archaeology experience.

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 (𝐆𝐈𝐕)
Discover Histoires animées, a selection of works that navigate the realms of imagination, memory, movement, and the absurdity of everyday life. The creations of Diane Obomsawin, Maliheh Gholamzadeh, Flavia Hevia, and Adriana Smith offer sensitive and unique perspectives on our relationship with the world.

𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞
Dive into a five-episode podcast created with 19 young people from Cité-des-Prairies and En Marge 12-17. Through an audio exchange created with artists Romain Bécourt and Fili 周 Gibbons, the participants reflect on art, freedom, the environment, and their aspirations.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨
Meet the team and the artists-in-residence, and discover works-in-progress from Parallel Playground, a program produced in collaboration with UKAI Projects. The residency explores new forms of digital and collaborative creation.

𝐓𝐞̈𝐧𝐤
Explore the world of documentary film through this specialized streaming platform. A selection of works by Lia Bertels, Marie Menié Mark, and Tim Bouvette will introduce you to the full richness of creative documentary filmmaking.

With family, friends, or on your own: wander from one venue to the next, chat with the artists, let the kids try out virtual reality, or simply enjoy a cultural Sunday afternoon in the heart of the Plateau.

An accessible and welcoming way to reconnect with contemporary art, with no reservations or formalities required.
