In 1996, the Nation to Nation art collective founds CyberPowWow, an on-line Indigenous arts gallery. Between 1997 and 2004, four exhibitions are curated, and more than twenty artists take part in the project. CPW plays an essential role in structuring the Indigenous digital arts scene and community in Canada by designing an alternative and self-determined space for the production, circulation and critique of original artworks. This thesis studies the position of CPW – its exhibition platform and its artworks – in a set of chronopolitical discourses at the intersection of arts, digital technologies and Indigenous identities.
