Xaraasi Xanne (Les voix croisées) uses rare film, photographic, and audio archives to tell the remarkable story of Somankidi Coura, an agricultural cooperative founded in Mali in 1977 by West African migrant workers living in shelters in France. The story of this unlikely utopia of returning home follows a winding path that, since the 1970s, sheds light on the ecological challenges and struggles on the African continent today.
Please note that we will be screening the French original version with French subtitles.
